Immelman's Win at Augusta Propels Nike in Prosplay Rankings

Trevor Immelman's win at the year's first major vaulted Nike Golf from 4th to 2nd in the Prosplay Brand Rankings. Because Trevor used mostly current line Nike Golf gear, it was a record points week for the brand.

His ball, the Nike One Platinum, cut into Titleist's seemingly insurmountable lead, moving to 3rd place in the Prosplay Top 25 Models List. Tiger also plays the One Platinum, so it does still have the change for the Grand Slam.

Diverse Golf Ball Brands Top Leaderboard at Masters

Most golf ball manufacturers would be thrilled to have 3 staff professionals finish in the top 10 at a major championship. But not Titleist. Not business as usual for the #1 ball in golf.

Nike Golf, on the other hand, has to be ecstatic to have taken the top 3 spots at the Masters. Trevor Immelman, Tiger Woods, and Stewart Cink led the swoosh to an impressive major. A tough sunday for Nike's Paul Casey prevented a dream scenario.

After a slow start to the 2008 season, Srixon had a strong week. A 5th place finish for Miguel Angel Jiminez and T-8th for Steve Flesch has to be considered a sign of good things to come.

Titleist AP2 Irons at the Masters

The product that stood out the most to me at the Masters was definitely the Titleist AP2 Irons.

To the right you will see a picture of Aaron Oberhosler's bag. They were also in the bag of Steve Stricker, Larry Mize, and many more. No other club made me want to grab an iron out of the bag

Photos from the 2008 Masters

Prosplay took over 450 photos of the participants clubs during Monday and Tuesday at the Masters. You can view them either by Search by Player or just watch the slideshow.

Learned quite a bit. Was pleasantly surprised how most of the clubs they play with are available at retail. Only a few players had blatant prototypes. Did not get a chance to look under the headcovers so we don't have much information on the woods. Took as many pictures as we could. The players and caddies were cooperative and easy to do deal with.
